After performing with tour opener B.o.B. during the Toronto stop of Rihanna’s Loud Tour in 2010, Toronto’s Melanie Fiona has again teamed up with the Airplane rapper, this time for her song Change The Record. Appearing on Fiona’s sophomore album The MF Life, Change The Record is all about female empowerment, with Melanie urging women to change the men in their life, or record, if the relationship isn’t working.
Working for the first time with a Canadian director, Melanie enlisted the help Jerome ‘Rome’ Kruin to capture her playful videos, which features Fiona and Stylus’ DJ of the Year, DJ Lissa Monet, throwing out their records of men.
The video’s choreographer and resident NML Battlez judge Lenny Len makes a cameo in the video, which features mostly female dancers in a club setting. B.o.B. even gets in on the action, hitting some serious b boy moves.
Check out Melanie Fiona and B.o.B. in their video for Change The Record.
