By calling himself #teamnosleep on Twitter, it is safe to say that Justin Bieber’s huge 2011 is a result of an incredible work ethic. Holiday Wrap is recapping the year of Justin Bieber and reminding ourselves just how a kid from Stratford became one of the biggest stars in the world.

Sarah In Ethiopia
The drought crisis in East Africa has caused wide-spread hunger across the Horn of Africa. Parts of Ethiopia are experiencing a green drought, a confusing and deceiving emergency. Sarah Taylor travels to the region and learns of the strength of the human spirit through stories of hope from the people she meets.

Hedley And The Goat
JUNO Award winners Hedley travel to Kenya to learn how far 50 dollars takes them in their quest to buy the perfect goat and change a family’s life forever. While visiting Kenya, Hedley experienced Africa’s unique culture by meeting and working alongside community members collecting water in a traditional water walk, bartered for goats in the local market and spent time visiting Free The Children’s development projects, helping build a school for kids without access to education.

We Day 2011
We Day was started by Free The Children to celebrate the power of young people to create positive change around the world. Today, We Day brings together an unmatched line-up of global leaders, social activists, cultural icons and entertainers to inspire young people to take action. But We Day is more than just one day of celebration and inspiration-it ignites a year-long program for change called We Schools in Action. Each school that attends We Day commits to one local action and one global action, and reports back to Free The Children with their achievements.

2011 Juno Awards
The 40th Anniversary of the JUNOs showed no shortage of star power and neither did the red carpet! Our hosts of Much on the Carpet, including Lauren Toyota, Phoebe Dykstra, Damian and T-RexXx were kept company by some of the hottest names in Canadian music. Drake, Down With Webster, Broken Social Scene, Keshia Chante, Classified, Hedley and more stopped by to hang out and talk about the biggest night in Canadian music.

2011 Polaris Music Prize
The Polaris Music Prize awards $30,000 to the artist who creates the Canadian album of the year. It is judged solely on artistic merit, without consideration of genre or record sales. Past winners have been Final Fantasy for He Poos Clouds (2006), Patrick Watson for Close To Paradise (2007), Caribou for Andorra (2008), F*cked Up for The Chemistry Of Common Life (2009) and Karkwa for Les Chemins De Verre (2010).

Drake: The Homecoming
Following a seven-hour autograph session, Toronto hip-hop phenom Drake sat down with RAPCITY’s Tyrone “T-RexXx” Edwards for an introspective chat. In this revealing half-hour special, DRAKE: THE HOMECOMING premiering Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. ET, MuchMusic brings viewers Much closer to Drake as it highlights his unauthorized, and unfiltered discussion with T-RexXx that took place in the wee hours of the morning, from one of Drake’s fave Toronto restaurants. The chart-topping sensation discusses his emotional attachment to the songs, collaborating again with Rihanna, the special meaning behind YOLO, and hints at what’s in store for the future.

2011 Brit Awards
This years Brit Awards features an amazing line up of great British talent and mixing it in with the hottest North American acts. Rihanna, Arcade Fire & Cee Lo Green are set to join Tinie Tempah, Adele, Plan B, Mumford & Sons and Take That as performers for the 2011 Brit Awards. That right there is an awesome night of performances. Think about all the hits you’ll hear, Arcade Fire’s ‘Ready To Start’, Rihanna’s ‘What’s My Name’, Mumford & Sons’ ‘Little Lion Man’.

Awkward.
Narrated in the first-person voice of Jenna’s blog posts, “Awkward.” captures the humor within the struggles and experiences everyone can relate to from their formative years. The series picks up in the aftermath of the accident as she must deal with a new not-so-fun stigma, while at the same time managing the other daily drama that comes with being a teenager. From a secret relationship with a popular guy, to being undermined by a mean girl, and parents who just don’t get it-Jenna’s misfortune will eventually serve as the catalyst for amazing change, but it’s not without some missteps and mishaps along the way.

Teen Wolf
Scott was just a regular guy until one bite changed his life forever. Now he struggles to understand who he is and what he might become. Is he more wolf than human – or is it the other way around? Whichever it is, it’s not going to be easy. Scott will try to control his urges, but mostly he’s scared that it’s his urges that could end up controlling him.

Scare Tactics
You’re on Scare Tactics! Or rather, these scared little pansies are. Hmm…but would we be saying the same thing if it was happening to us? Scare Tactics is the show that loves to scare up the thrills by putting unsuspecting people into their worst nightmares. It could be an electrocution, a shooting, a car crash, a monster – if you’re scared of it, SNL’s Tracy Morgan and friends can recreate it and make you crap your pants.

The Hard Times Of R.J. Berger
The Hard Times of RJ Berger orbits the hilariously-hellish lives of a deeply unpopular 15 year-old (Paul Iacono) and his scheming, sex-obsessed best friend, Miles Jenner (Jareb Dauplaise). Other than pining after the girl of his dreams, Jenny Swanson (Amber Lancaster), receiving daily beatings from the meanest jock in school, Max Owens (Jayson Blair), and evading the stalker-ish advances of Lily Miran (Kara Taitz), there really isn’t much excitement in RJ’s life. That is, until his anatomical gift is accidentally exposed to the entire school.
