Michael Cera Recruited For Indie Super Group

Michael Cera has been recruited into the Sub Pop indie super group Mister Heavenly, at least for a temporary basis. The band includes Ryan Kattner from Man Man, Joe Plummer from Modest Mouse and Nick Thorburn from Islands. Cera will play bass with the band.
Cera first played with the band live in Seattle on Tuesday at the band’s first show. Cera has played music in his movies Juno, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist and wrote the score for the film Paper Heart.
It is unclear whether he will be with the band for good but he will be touring with them on all their scheduled dates with Passion Pit in December.
