Miley says internet is dangerous and lame

Miley Cyrus has revealed the reason she deleted her Twitter account several months ago: she thinks the internet is lame. Cyrus told reporters this weekend that her boyfriend Liam Hemsworth encouraged her to delete her Twitter account because she was revealing too much about her life to her fans. The pop star said that she would tweet that she was eating at a certain restaurant only to be greeted by hundreds of fans minutes later when she’d leave.

Cyrus goes on to explain that she now gets annoyed with her friends constantly tweeting and posting pictures while she’s trying to hang out with them. She even goes on record as saying “I’m telling kids, don’t go on the internet, it’s dangerous, it’s not fun, it wastes your life, and you should be outside playing sports or something.”

I guess it’s safe to say Miley will not be re-opening her Twitter account, but we won’t be deleting ours any time soon! Follow us @MuchMusic and @MuchNews!
