So I just saw a press release that Hanson is coming into town. Apparently they are on tour. And so I gotta ask: with what material?
MMMBop or not, it turns out they have a fourth studio album called The Walk. What does that even represent? The Walk of Shame…? I mean, tickets are only $37.50. My allowance covers that three times over. Great, I can bring 2 of my brothers along and challenge Hanson to a bizarre brotherly trio sing-off and argue about whose teen ’stache is fuller. I don’t even know what that means, but to Hanson I say this: “Where’s The Love?” to which Taylor would retort, “It makes the world go ’round and ’round and ’round.”
This blog entry is now just as obscure as their 90s stint in the spotlight. I’m out.

I always thought to write anything on a popular music site you should maybe KNOW what you are talking about. Please explain how it’s the ” walk of shame” as you said. You are talking about songs that were released 10 years ago by 3 VERY young kids. What do you know about them now? Clearly nothing. But of course you quickly go ahead and comment. For what reason? They work their ass off and I am pretty sure they are doing what they want to be doing. They have their own indie label and their indie albums have broken records. DO some research before you talk any shit. Just because an older band keeps going doesn’t make it a bad thing. Music is music and it’s enjoyed by their fans. No one makes you listen to it. But if you are a part of a MUSIC SITE.. respect the music and quit the baby bull shit. Thanks!
Yeah, you should go challenge Hanson to a sing-off. The audience would enjoy watching them wipe up the floor with you and your brothers.
nah - this is good guys. it’s important to speak your mind and to stand up for the artists you believe in - especially when a shit-disturbing punk like me comes along and pokes a little fun. truth be told, i actually owned the Middle of Nowhere cd way back when, and actually sang along. it was a fun, poppy, well-produced cd and yes, of course they were talented.
@randomusicgirl: i just checked out the new material - “something going round” is a decent track.
but i will say this: i’m still going to save up my allowance money - and spend it on gobstoppers instead. remember those? man are they ever tasty.
Thank you. I really respect the fact that you replied back. I am glad you did check out the new stuff and it’s totally cool that you don’t like all of it. So thanks again for being nice.. even tho I may have gone alil nutz. Sorry about that. Late night. Okay I’m done.

k hi, if you knew anything you would know that their last album, which was full of new material, was the most successful indie release of that year, which was also released on their own record label.
