MMVA07 Diary: George

June 17th, 2007

Being here at the MMVAs is an incredible experience. I remember watching MuchMusic as a kid, and I had this dream to be there… now I’m here, and it’s so surreal!

Everything has worked itself out.

This year I’m going to be starting my career in Japan. I’m working with a charity organization called Plan Canada, and will be in Haiti July 5th for a documentary to raise the awareness of child slavery… and my hope is to keep working hard, and to reach out to the people who support me as an artist.

Thank you for all the support, from my fans.
To all the people who voted for me, thank you and I send my love.

george ur hard work has definately been recognized- have a FANTASTIC time in Haiti, its gorgeous there, I’m sure your going to do more than reach out to people there, you make people believe

wow. WHY would you come here and comment if you dont even like the guy?! that is just plan stupid and you are just wasting your time. NOBODY bought his record?! guy, you dont even KNOW how many friggen fans bought his record! and he has true talent. talk when you can do better.

ANYWAYS. yay! george won best director! you didn’t win best pop video OR favourite canadian artist BUT..you were NOMINATED! for three friggin awards!!and you’ve JUST been introduced to canada like a year or two ago. wow, you should definitely be PROUD. like you said, if you didn’t get em this time, you’ll get em next time!
you’re only starting your career but you’re already planning to give back.that is just amazing and truly inspiring!

what the hell to Tim..LOTS of ppl bought his record! This guy is friken awesome and has so much talent! I’m so proud he’s asian(half) and mostly a Canadian! He’s gonna become even more famous in the years to come..i even have an american friend who knows George..c’mon who DOESN’T know George?..ILOVEYOUGEORGE! and congrats! you are SO getting best artist next year!
