MMVA08: Simple Plan Get Psyched For Tonight

[Editor's Note: Simple Plan are the best - simply the BEST! Such sweethearts. Sebastien and David just strolled over to MuchMusic.com HQ and wrote up this little ditty for you guys in between double kisses and telling us about cool summer ringtones. David shared with me that he had "called" the song of the summer earlier this month and that it was now his ringtone - Katy Perry's "I Kissed A Girl". I'm loving that song right now as well!]

We just got our hands rubbed! Awesome! We just got done with rehearsals this morning and it went really well. That’s what they do every year, you come to the show the morning of and you do the whole thing about 17 times to make sure they get the cameras right and the sound cues.

We have something special planned for the show tonight. I won’t tell you what it is but I can tell you that we have a collaboration going on and it will be pretty big. Also, we have been doing press and TV interviews surrounding this event since we got off the plane from Europe yesterday. Ever since we got back to Canada, it’s been all about the awards. This is Sebastien by the way and I’m sitting here with David. We just wanted to namedrop the fact that we just played with Rage Against The Machine in Sweden…just wanted to put that out there.

Pretty excited to play with Flo Rida and maybe we will be lucky enough to pass Rihanna in the hall. Well, that’s it for now, see you at the show tonight and enjoy the whole thing!
