MMVA08: We’ve Started Announcing Winners

So, the live Red Carpet show has begun and we’re already handing out awards! If I were you I’d stay GLUED to the nominees & winners page cause we’ll be updating the winners as they’re announced!

So far Best Post-Production has been awarded to Sam Roberts (pictured arriving on the Red Carpet above!) and VideoFACT Best Independent Video went to Wintersleep. Congrats, guys!

Oh and just now…Best International Video - Group goes to Linkin Park, who aren’t here. Devon has graciously accepted the award on their behalf though!

8:52pm: And Best Cinematography just went to multiply- nominated Canadian cuties Hedley!

9:14pm: Best International Video - Artist was just awarded to Rihanna, who came up on stage to accept her award! What a cutie, thanking Canada, MuchMusic and her home soil, Barbados!

  11. This thing is freaking rigged. It’s all about popularity. Not talent. Skye Sweetnam had the best video for cinematography and of course lost to Hedley because they’re so “popular”. They don’t even interview Skye or show her on the red carpet. This is so lame. Much music used to be about the music and promoting talent… but it seems now you have to already be huge to get shown on much music. So how on earth do you get big now if no one gives you the chance?
