The 2009 Junos are coming to CTV on Sunday, March 29 from Vancouver’s GM Place and three megawatt performers have just been added to the performance bill - City And Colour, Nickelback and Simple Plan were just confirmed.

The nominees are being announced later today, but so far we know that there are a few honourees: Loverboy will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame, and Sarah McLachlan will receive the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award.

Do you guys watch the Junos? Will you watch this year (if only to check out Simple Plan’s performance)? I have never actually watched the Junos since they don’t represent the segment of Canadian music that I listen to. What about you?

  1. I’ll be going to the Junos for the third year in a row, but the actual awards show is usually the lowlight of the weekend. The Junofest concerts and Songwriter’s Circle are worth the trip alone.

  2. juno awards suck. hedley & simple plan suck

  3. oh that’s so sweet! the last couple of juno’s have been awful the past couple of years!! i love nickeback, city and colour AND simple plan!! sweet! i’ll be sure to watch them now!
