It’s just been announced that Morrissey is embarking on a pretty colossal tour of the U.S. (recall that he refuses to set foot in Canada because of the seal hunt, which, you know, Morrissey fans have huge participation and control over, *eye roll*).

The tour include a TEN night sting at L.A.’s Palladium. 10 shows! In a row! I ask you - is that really necessary? Palladium holds 4,000 people…that means that over 10 dates, there could potentially be 40,000 people going to see Morrissey?! I highly doubt that all 10 dates in one city will sell out - maybe in the UK…but not in the U.S.! And then there are five shows in San Francisco and five in NYC.

I mean, local bands like The Arcade Fire, City & Colour, Alexisonfire & The Rheostatics have done multiple night shows in Toronto, but that was because of HUGE demand and instant selling out of tickets. Like one show would immediately sell out, so they’d add more dates. This seems to be a bit much
