Mother Mother – “The Sticks” (video)

Vancouver’s Mother Mother are back with a new record called, The Sticks (Out in September via Last Gang records). This record will be the group’s fourth. The title track takes Mother Mother in a slightly more lo-fi, garage-y direction than their previous recordings. The track kicks off with a drumbeat reminiscent of Zeppelin’s “When The Levee Breaks.” The rest of the sound is filled out by reverberant pianos and fuzzy basses.
