Now I know what you’re thinking – AXS has movie trailers?
Well it does – a ton! AXS currently has over 70 trailers to feast your eyes on…with new ones being added every day.
So in celebration of that fact and possibly because I have too much time on my hands, I’ve decided to start a weekly blog entry letting you guys know what’s hot in the tantalizing and titillating world of movie trailers…
Best new trailer this week?
August Rush – It’s about a young musical genius (August Rush) who is aided by a mysterious stranger in his effort to find the parents from whom he was separated at birth. Okay, on first glance this might seem a little high on the schmaltz-meter but I think this one has pretty great potential…ostly because of the stellar cast. The little boy is played by the fantastic Freddie Highmore…who might not be a household name yet but it you didn’t blubber like a baby while watching him opposite Johnny Depp in Finding Neverland, you have no soul. If you add the other talents into the mix – Jonathan Rhys-Meyers (yum), Keri Russell, Terence Howard, and Robin Williams…I think this could be something special to see. Although…can someone please explain to me why Robin Williams seems to be channelling Bono in this? Very odd. It opens in theatres October 19, 2007.
Other new trailers worth checking out:
El Cantante – with Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony (opens August 3, 2007)
The 11th Hour – with Leonardo DiCaprio (opens August 24, 2007)
The Brave One – Jodie Foster, Terence Howard (opens September 14, 2007)
Michael Clayton – with George Clooney (opens October 5, 2007)
Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium – with Natalie Portman, Dustin Hoffman (opens November 16, 2007)
The Spiderwick Chronicles – with Freddie Highmore (opens February 15, 2008)
Vantage Point – with Forest Whittaker, Matthew Fox (opens February 15, 2008)
Any cool trailers you’ve seen lately that you are excited about? Let me know!
