MP3: King Krule “The Noose of Jah City”

You would never know from listening to “The Noose of Jah City” that the person behind the song is a 17-year old boy. Archy Marshall, who goes under the moniker King Krule (formerly Zoo Kid), is from the UK and is readying his self-titled debut EP, which will be released on November 8 via True Panther. King Krule’s new single is an instantly addictive track, starting off with a slow build and turning into a catchy beat with Marshall’s unique, dark voice standing out. Rodaidh McDonald, who mixed and engineered The xx’s debut album, worked with King Krule, making this a promising team and an even more promising EP.
