Russell Brand will not be denied. And New York City will not be denied. And MTV will not be denied. I don’t really know what I’m talking about here, but what I’m saying is Russell Brand is back again to host the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards… and they’ll storm New York City (“performances staged all over Manhattan”)… and you’ll watch it because MTV says so.
So far, Taylor Swift and Muse (!!!) have been tapped to perform at the shindig, and Russell Brand states that, “This year will be a controversy-free festival of love and discreet orgasms.” Well boy howdy, count me in!
