Summer time can only mean one thing: music festivals galore. One we’re really excited for is this year’s Osheaga Music Festival, which takes place in Montreal from August 3 – 5. Named one of Pitchfork’s 20 Essential Festivals of Summer 2012, Osheaga will span three days, four stages and a list of performances so long that you’ll need to carefully map out your schedule or else you might risk missing out on one of your favourite bands!
Find out how to win an amazing weekend at Osheaga after the jump!
There’s something for everyone at Osheaga. Love your indie rock? Then catch Canadian favourites Metric and Feist or dance along to Santigold and MGMT. A fan of hip-hop and R&B? Check out The Weeknd, Common and A$AP Rocky. A Top 40’s kind of person? Fun., The Black Keys, Florence and the Machine and Down With Webster will bring the metaphorical house down! There’s even a little something for the nostalgic fans, who will love seeing 90s rock band Garbage perform, as well as Jesus and Mary Chain, which was recently added to the bill. And with a line-up as packed as this one, make sure you show up early and catch bands like Young Galaxy, Charli XCX, Zeus and Yukon Blonde!
Other performers include Snoop Dogg, Justice, Sigur Ros, City and Colour, The Shins, Bloc Party, M83, Franz Ferdinand, Passion Pit, Brand New, Young The Giant, Of Monsters and Men, The Sheepdogs, and many, many more.
MUCH will be there all weekend, blogging in between long runs between stages but we’d like to give you an opportunity to join us.
