Holy hell! It’s nearly midnight, I’m JUST starting to recover from our rammed day at Warped Tour today, and I’m about ready to face plant into my body pillow.

Justin, Dan & I headed up to Barrie earlier today for the penultimate Warped Tour date to snag some interviews, performance video & pics of some great bands…look for the interviews in the coming days, but for now enjoy some pics that we took at Park Place in Barrie. For me and Justin, it was our second or third time going to Warped Tour, but Dan’s been eight or nine times already, a detail that he didn’t hesitate to remind us of on countless occasions throughout the day.

We had so much fun checking out bands we cared about from backstage, chatting them up in between sets, and trudging along with the rest of the crowd in the extreme dust. Ashley was right, the dust clouds were unbearable!!! I had no idea that by day’s end my skin was going to be shrouded in a one inch layer of pure dust…dust masks were a must, and were selling for $3 throughout the merch tents.

Some of the performances were quite memorable - Gallows (riotous), Bad Religion (classic), illScarlett (touching), Maylene & The Sons Of Disaster (unpredictable).

We chatted with some amazing artists that were milling about in the press area about making it through weeks on end of hard touring, being straight edge, music on the Internet and fake online bands, making videos & playing video games and heaps more! LIKE I SAID, stay tuned for our little ditty in the coming days to get your fill of Warped if you couldn’t be there, or just relive the memories if you were!

    I’ve been in past years but I wasn’t a fan of any of the bands this time. Seems like this year there weren’t as many big bands that people care about.

  4. Warped was amazing. Especially Chiodos. Their drummer Derrick gave me his drum stick because he said he would when i was backstage and Craig gave me his sweaty towel because I was the only one singing every word. :D
    Paramore, Drop Dead Gorgeous, Blessthefall and Tiger Army were also amazing.

  5. I don’t understand the appeal of this Gallows band. The music is just super weak hardcore that bands like Every Time I Die have been doing for the last 8 years. All of those people in the picture look super into it… not.

  6. Gallows is by far my favourite band right now. Their set was my favourite at Warped.

    If you have any more picture PLEASE send them to me. I saw some photographers taking pictures of the pile-ons and i just want to take a look at them.
