Get ready to add yet another album to the list of records to get excited about in 2012 (click here to see our full list). Mumford and Sons are ready to release the follow up to 2009′s wildly successful Sigh No More with their second full length album, Babel.

The band wrote the majority of the songs on their tour bus while relentlessly touring in support of Sigh No More over the past two years. The band teamed up again with Sigh No More producer Markus Dravs, who has also worked with Coldplay and Arcade Fire, to record the album in four different studios throughout London.

Having already played some of Babel’s songs in concerts, Mumford and Sons fans know that they are in for a darker album, with Dravs explaing, “You might hear a little bit more of a slight flavor of darkness on a couple songs”.
