Muse are scared of lasers

Arena rock concerts are only ever as good as the light show, but English prog rockers Muse are unsure of using lasers.

As you can see from the above photo and the below video, Muse sure love their flashing lasers, but in a recent interview with The Sun, drummer Dominic Howard expressed concern over going blind in the not-so-distant future.

“We got some big white balloons, threw them into the audience and decided to focus the lasers on them,” he said. “It was like a slow burn that gradually disintegrated them into nothing. We all thought, ‘What the hell will our corneas be like in 20 years?’”

Howard is so concerned that he fears the band will have to relocate to the Bible Belt and go gospel, adding, “We could end up like that amazing vocal group the Blind Boys of Alabama – getting around doing it really well but not seeing anything.”

And if we’re to believe Us Weekly, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy is expecting his first child with actress girlfriend Kate Hudson. But that’s only if we believe their “inside source.”
