The half time show for Sunday’s Grey Cup is shaping up to be worthy of the CFL’s monumental 100th anniversary. Featuring some of the biggest names in Canadian music over the past 40 years, legendary folk musician Gordon Lightfoot will take the stage along with some of today’s biggest names in music, including Justin Bieber, Big Jingle performer Carly Rae Jepsen and Marianas Trench. Country musician Johnny Reid and The Guess Who front man Burton Cummings will perform as part of a special concert on Sunday before kick-off.
This Sunday’s Grey Cup half time show is a family affair with the new faces of Canadian music. Justin Bieber is currently on his North American Believe Tour, which features Carly Rae Jepsen as his opening act. Jepsen’s worldwide break out song Call Me Maybe was co-written by Jepsen and Marianas Trench front man, Josh Ramsay.
The 100th Grey Cup takes place this Sunday, November 25 at the Rogers Centre in Toronto and features the Toronto Argonauts facing off against the Calgary Stampeders. TSN’s coverage of the 100th Grey Cup begins Sunday at 1 pm ET/ 10 am PT. You’ll be able to watch all the action, including the half time show, online as well at www.TSN.ca.
Fans interested in seeing Jepsen perform as part of The Big Jingle on December 2nd at the ACC, along with Austin Mahone, Bridgit Mendler, Cody Simpson, Shawn Desman, Simple Plan, Sky Blu and The Wanted can still get tickets for the event here.
