Mutek Announces 10th Anniversary Edition Performers

MUTEK, one of the finest electronica events I’ve attended, has taken place for the past nine years in Montreal and this year’s festival will be happening on May 27-31. It’s the festival’s 10th edition and organizers have lots of surprises up their sleeve for this special anniversary – earlier today they released the names of the first 28 confirmed performers. In total they’re planning to host over 50 acts at a variety of venues across Montreal, so this is only the first of many announcements!

So far there are a bunch of obscure international acts to get excited about – the return of Germans Modeselektor in the form of Moderat (Modeselektor + Apparat), Alva Noto, Carl Craig, Ghislain Poirier and GAS, among many others.
