My Chemical “Advance”

You may recall that the last FOUR albums by The Chemical Brothers reached #1 on British charts…why should this new album be any different? We Are The Night isn’t released until July 3, but we have the entire thing streaming for you to listen to right now! In particular, I was really excited to finally hear All Rights Reversed, which showcases one of my favourite NME buzz bands, Klaxons. It’s track 3, so have a listen now.

More excitingly though, I just learned that The Chemical Brothers will be scoring a movie adaptation of one of my FAVOURITE Irvine Welsh books – Ecstasy: Three Tales Of Chemical Romance.

If that name rings a bell, it’s because Mikey Way of My Chemical Romance was inspired by it when dreaming up the band’s name. Now I’m extra excited to see how this movie turns out – naturally I loved the movie adaptations of Welsh’s other books – Trainspotting and The Acid House.

The movie won’t be out until 2008, but here’s a blog where you can keep tabs on the goings on related to the film.
