My Date With: Stereos

Winning My Date With… had to be the best experience of my life! It all happened so quick it felt like a fairytale, one that normally wouldn’t come true! Like honestly how often does someone get to go on a date with 5 awesome and totally hot guys?!

This was quite the experience from point A to point B! When I got the email saying I was in the top 4 I was freaking out like crazy! Words couldn’t explain what was running through my mind! I called Sarah (the one I brought on the date) immediately and told her! She was in shock! When I made the video it was all for fun, and we didn’t really think anything of it! Then before I knew it The night of truth came, when I found out if I was the winner or not; I had over 30 people over at my house and many more wanted to come! I got the envelope saying I didn’t win a date with Stereos but I was totally okay with that, because I was more than happy I made it this far! Then all of a sudden I had a knock on my door and I was like “NO WAY”! I knew exactly what that meant! I ran so fast to the door, and Tim Deegan was there! I was freaking out like crazy when he gave me the other envelope! I couldn’t believe it was happening! You know what happened from there! (: Before I knew it I was off on my way to go on a date with Stereos!

The date itself was and still is a dream to me! First Much Music brought us shopping! What an experience that was! I love shopping! Like normal we didn’t get our makeover’s done yet! That was later on in the date! After shopping we went outside of the mall and there was a Limo waiting for us! I felt completely special! Once we got into the Limo there was a present waiting for us! It had so many balloons (: We opened the gift which included so many things; such as a Program booklet, Headbands, necklace charm, Stickers, and best of all a Flipcam! It the bottom there was a card that read; “Here is a little something, something to keep you warm for our big date! Can’t wait to meet you guys! Love Stereos!” my heart melted! And after reading it just once I have it memorized! After that we were on our way to the big date!

So once we got to our first location I had absolutely no idea where we were! Tim told us the boys we going to be late so Sarah and I were upset but understood! So once we got into our first activity I was a little upset to look around to see where we were so I kind of kept my head down! Then next thing you know I look up and we were in a bowling alley! My first thought was oh thank god the boys aren’t here! I cannot bowl at all! So then Tim was like “Okay girls go get your shoes!” so I look up straight ahead and next thing you know all of the boys were standing right there in front of me behind the counter! I was freaking out inside!

It was pretty funny because Robby grabbed us 3 pairs of shoes and Aaron was like “Umm Robb, I don’t think the girls have 3 feet each!”. It was so funny! So we all got our shoes on and we started to bowl! How fun and embarrassing that was! We all had our shares of strikes, spares and gutters! After doing that for a while we got back into the Limo but this time with the Boys (: We basically just asked them questions like “what is your favourite song off the album”, “what do you look for in a girl”, what is your favourite song to perform”, and a couple more (: Tim also thought it would be funny to bring up the fact that Sarah agreed to sing for the boys! And I would back up because I can clearly not sing! So we basically sat there for 10 minutes deciding what song to sing! Once Sarah sang I was in complete shock because she is amazing, and I completely forgot to sing along so I joined in at the last minute! To me I think the boys loved it!

Next on our date we went to a Modeling agency! What an experience that was! It was 100% professional feeling! This was when Sarah and I got our hair and make up done! Once that was done we changed into the outfits Much Music bought us and got on the platform to do our photo shoot! That was so fun, at first everyone was a little tense but after a while we opened up and had fun with it! We got a good one with the boys, a funny one, then one of Sarah, Tim and I, and then one of Sarah and I! They all turned out amazing! What a keepsake that is! After this we all got back into the Limo and headed down to the Venue that the boys were playing at that night! We got to go in the back door! I felt completely VIP! We then went up into their change room and hung out with them for a good 45 minutes! The first 15 minutes was on camera, when they showed us around the room and we got to see what they ate and how messy their room was! Their underwear were all over the floor (: silly boys! Ahaha! Then the next 30 minutes the camera crew left and same with the parents so it was literally just the 5 boys, Sarah and I with the door closed! That was when they were themselves! We all talked, laughed, took pictures! Finally it was time to part ): that was the hardest part! Saying good bye to the boys!

After that we went into the venue and watched the boys during their concert! They were amazing! They all noticed Sarah and I in the crowd and all said hi to us! Pat even gave us a shout out! It was so sweet of him! Best concert by far! After the concert the boys Oked it for us to stay behind and hang with them! We probably stayed for about 2 hours after the concert, just hanging out with them on the stage! We helped Aaron put away his drum set and all laughed at each other and just had a blast! After this experience I now consider the boys as my buddy’s (: They are so sweet to Sarah and I! every time I see them they are like Hey Amber and I just die and go to heaven!

I want to thank Much Music so much for this experience and for letting this all happen! Thank you for the extremely cute outfit! I love it and I know Sarah loves hers too! Thank you Stereos (Aaron, Miles, Pat, Daniel, Robb) for giving us girls the opportunity to meet you boys and have an amazing date! It was the best ever and I hope it will be a memory you guys cherish for ever like I will!
