Ne-Yo has released a remix to his huge hit Let Me Love You (Until You Learn to Love Yourself) and has slowed down the uptempo pop track, giving it a harder R’nB feel and adding a verse from rapper French Montana. Surrounded by women in a club, Ne-Yo and Montana perform the song while the women share some of the heavy lifting by performing dance breaks throughout the video.
Though the song has a cool vibe, it can’t touch the original. Ne-Yo’s vocals sound like they’ve been slowed down from the original rather than re-recorded and the remix loses the intensity and emotion of the original. It’s got the groove, but not the staying power. And don’t even get me started on the differences in quality of the two videos. You can check out the remix and original below and compare for yourself.
