N*E*R*D record World Cup song

Jay-Z and Alicia Keys couldn’t pull it off, but it looks like N*E*R*D are giving K’naan a run for his title as World Cup anthem holder.

Band leader Pharrell Williams has revealed that his band has recorded a song for this summer’s World Cup, even though he’s not a big fan of football (aka soccer).

“We have submitted a track to FIFA which will hopefully be chosen as the official anthem,” Pharrell told The Sun newspaper. “I follow football a little bit – it would be great if it happens.”
