Hey there, my name is Brittany Campbell, and I was the Grand Prize winner of the MuchMusic and Neutrogena, “What’s Your Wave” contest!

Me and my friend Amanda-Dawn had an amazing VIP weekend in LA, and here are just some of the highlights:

On Friday afternoon we left Toronto airport, and arrived in sunny California around 7:00pm. We travelled in style by taking a stretch limo to our hotel, and settled into our Suite at the Doubletree Hotel in Santa Monica. After unpacking and settling in, we walked down to the Santa Monica Pier where we rode the infamous Ferris wheel and enjoyed the beautiful skyline.

Saturday morning, Amanda-Dawn and I woke up early so we could go out and explore Beverly Hills… the weather was gorgeous. We walked up and down Rodeo Drive and took lots of pictures of the famous stores. After touring around Beverly Hills we had manicures and pedicures done at the famous Beverly Hills Wilshire Hotel. It was such a hot day out, that we decided to just chill by the pool after we got our nails done. Not far from our hotel was the Third Street Promenade, which is full of stores and where we did all of our shopping. It was a lot harder to spend the $1000 then we had originally thought it would be! Saturday evening we got all dressed up and travelled over to the Ivy - a really famous and fancy restaurant in LA. The food was delicious and the service was amazing.

Sunday morning was the big day, the day of the Fresh Faces concert featuring Vanessa Hudgens. We woke up and headed over to Forme Salon, where we got concert ready. After we were all dolled up, we threw on our concert outfits and headed down to Third Street Promenade where the concert was being held. There were thousands of people lined up to see the concert, but we didn’t have to worry about the line because we were V.I.Ps!

Former MTV VJ Susie Castillo and actor/singer Hayden Panettiere went on stage before the big show to get the crowd going and to give away prizes to some lucky people. Seconds before Vanessa came out the crowd was going wild. Her performance was amazing… Vanessa sang beautifully. The meet and greet followed her performance, and we went in to get a picture taken with Vanessa. Susie Castillo was also handing out her new book to people, and signing them as well. After the concert Amanda-Dawn and I spent the rest of our money and took a last walk around L.A. We went to the beach at night time where it was all lit up, and it looked absolutely beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for better weather the whole weekend, it was perfect! The next morning we flew back to Canada where it was cold and wet (no surprise).

We would like to thank MuchMusic and Neutrogena for giving us this amazing once-in-a-life time opportunity. We will never forget our crazy and exciting weekend in L.A.
