[Update] Nevermind: Justin Timberlake is NOT working on new music

[Update: Justin Timberlake's publicist has just released a statement saying that producer Jim Beanz's claims that the singer is back in the studio recording a new album are false. Timberlake's publicist adds that Timberlake is indeed working with Timbaland on tracks for his upcoming album Shock Value 3 but that's it. Why, Justin. Why!]

Remember when Justin Timberlake was a singer? Yeah, we almost forgot too. But it’s okay because according to producer Jim Beanz – who has worked with Britney Spears and Katy Perry – the former N*SYNC boy bander is back in the studio right now working on a new album.

“When I get back to the States I’m going to be helping out on Shock Value 3 with Timbaland and the Justin Timberlake project,” Beanz said. “It’s still in the early stages, but they have a lot of tracks. While I’ve been over here in the UK they’ve been working, so by the time I get back they’ll have a whole load of ideas and I’m going to have to catch up!”

Beanz says that Timberlake already has some “crazy, crazy stuff,” and adds that “he’s going to kill it.”

We sure hope so! It’s about time, Justin!
