New Annie Single: I Know UR Girlfriend Hates Me

When it comes to music, Norway can truly do no wrong – in my opinion at least. It’s home to stellar acts like Royksopp, a-ha, Sondre Lerche, Erlend Øye and also Annie (aka Anne Lilia Berge Strand), who you may remember from 2005, when she released the album Anniemal and the dancetastic Heartbeat, which the Pitchforks of the world promptly pounced on.

So she’s got a new album coming out in July called Don’t Stop and the first single, I Know UR Girlfriend Hates Me comes out June 9 – you can hear a teaser of the song on Annie’s MySpace page. I think it’s adorable and typical Annie – I can’t wait to hear more of the new stuff! Apparently it’ll even include a collaboration with Girls Aloud! Annie’s pretty much the Norwegian Kylie.
