New Barbie sports natural hairstyle

Barbie’s getting an afro for Christmas! An African-American natural hair group decided to give Barbie’s blond hair a dye job and a more “natural” curly look to show girls that it’s “okay the way God made you.”
The group collected around 40 Barbies for the “makeover” (or “make-under?”) and will donate the dolls to underprivileged girls in the Columbus, Georgia area.
And just how did they pull off the afro? Members of the group found an online tutorial that uses pipe cleaners and boiling water to give Barbie’s straight hair a curly look! Pretty cool if you ask us!
