New In Tim-land

Well guys, it’s been a while since I’ve blogged, but I’ve been super busy – I have so much to tell you guys! I am shooting a new show and it’s going to be really good. I am getting to do so many things and lots of travelling too!

I was up in Muskoka wakeboarding – I was trying a new sport called “rope boarding”, which you can read about here. It’s soooo much fun and I was even doing tricks and stuff! I was also in Winnipeg for the opening of a new skate park, that was amazing – one of the nicest skate parks I have been to, ever, and I got to see Luke from the VJ Search Top 20, so that was fun too.

August is going to be crazy for me. Hopefully you guys can come out and meet up with me at some of the events I’ll be at. I’ll be at the X games in LA, I’ll be at Wakestock, I’m also doing a dirt biking thing in Walton, Ontario and I’ll be in Calgary for the Slam City Jam. I’m looking forward to all of it.

I’m also thinking of cutting my hair…in fact I really want to…I know we aired the vote-o-matic about my hair and it was voted to keep it long, but it’s way too hot in the summer! I don’t normally have my hair this long, I had it short before and it was fun and a little wild, but I do like the long hair, it sorta just grew out when I was away at school because I couldn’t be bothered to cut it and this is what I ended up with. But since it’s long I will try and do something fun with it because I have a lot to work with here haha.

Anyway that’s enough about me…I want to tell you guys about the Rise Against video for “Ready To Fall” (watch the whole thing here). It’s been out for a little while but I haven’t been blogging much. I love this video. I really do love it, it’s a great song and the video makes it so much better. It’s really stressing the fact that we are destroying our planet and we have the ability to change that and the ability to make a difference, but most people are too lazy or don’t care or just feel it’s not their problem, I honestly can’t get over how many people are too lazy to throw out garbage and would rather throw it on the ground, or don’t recycle…I know I sound cheeeeezy saying all this but it’s true, I just feel like we are the ones that can make a difference – we are the ones growing up in this world.

But check out the video – Rise Against are great and the video is really well done. I’ve been trying to hit some concerts this summer too, I’m disappointed that I can’t make it to Warped Tour because I’ll be at Wakestock but it’s all good. I missed Edgefest 2 because I was doing another shoot, but there were some great bands there, if anyone went, let me know! I’d love to hear about it, who you liked, who you didn’t…I did make it to the Angels and Airwaves/Taking Back Sunday show…I missed the opening bands, which sucked (Head Automatica and The Subways), but the show was good! That was my second time seeing Angels and Airwaves and I’m still not sure what I think about the live show… it’s good and the music is great, but I feel like I don’t know what to do in the crowd. It’s not like blink, and it’s weird just standing there… haha who knows…but Taking Back Sunday was amazing!!! I had a great time and they did such an amazing job, I was asking myself halfway through the show “what else are they gonna play? They’ve already played a lot of their great tunes”…but they just kept going and going. I forgot how many great songs they have so I went and listened to all their albums and had a good throwback haha. I don’t think I’ve ever been unimpressed with their stuff.

Anyway this is getting long I’m sorry…this is why I should blog more often and keep them a bit shorter! Keep on being you and let me know of any cool concerts I should try and hit, if I can I’ll try to make it. Later guys!!!
