New Malajube Album Details!

Finally! News of new music coming from Quebec quintet Malajube! It’s been almost three years since Trompe L’Oeil was released in early 2006 and I’ve been eager to hear new music from the band ever since. You’ll recall that the band won an MMVA in 2007 for Pate Filo (truly an excellent video – watch it!) and that earlier that year I was positively trampled during a stagedive-gone-wrong at their Lee’s Palace show. Needless to say, these guys bring it in a live setting and their beats are insanely catchy.

Their third French album, called Labyrinthes, will be out on February 10, 2009 (not as far away as you think!) and in preparation for it, the band is putting on a bunch of shows in Quebec – cities like Drummondville, Sherbrooke, and of course, Montreal. Hopefully they’ll head west soon so we can hear the new material too. For a full list of dates, check out their MySpace page below.
