There are tons of reasons to get excited for Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World – it’s based on the loved comic by Bryan Lee O’Malley, it’s set in Toronto, it stars Michael Cera as a guy named after a Plumtree song who has to kick the asses of his new girlfriend’s seven evil exes – and now we have another one.

A while back it was revealed that Beck would be writing music for the film, but now the details have emerged for the soundtrack and it looks pretty rad. Not only did Beck write and record four brand new songs as Scott Pilgrim’s band SEX BOB-OMB, but under his own name he also contributes two versions of “Ramona,” a song about Scott’s squeeze.

Broken Social Scene also contribute new songs both under their name and the fake Crash and the Boys. Also on there is Frank Black and Metric, as well as oldies like The Rolling Stones and T-Rex.

Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World the soundtrack is released on August 10th. Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World the movie is out on August 13th.
