For all of you kids out there that like rock music, real rock music, Led Zeppelin rock music and The Band rock music, I bring you news of an album coming out this summer that will have you telling your friends “Yeah dawg, finally, rock music is back…dawg?”

My Morning Jacket‘s new album Evil Urges will hit stores on June 10. Download the first single, also called Evil Urges, from their website for free and check out this live version of Highly Suspicious recorded at SXSW this past March.

There’s already huge buzz about the new single and album, if Hype Machine‘s list of most blogged about artists is any indication: My Morning Jacket is the fourth most blogged about band on the web today, along with Weezer, Radiohead, Portishead and M83.

If you’re in Toronto make sure you check out My Morning Jacket at the Kool Haus on June 16 – they rarely ever tour and last time they came to Toronto it cost $6,000,000 a ticket because they were opening for Pearl Jam.
