Tons of new music out today! Here’s a sampling of what I think is noteworthy.

Bjork – Volta. Bjork’s back with her sixth studio album and a lot of people are saying it’s her best album yet. First single Earth Intruders; watch the video here.

The View – Hats Off To The Buskers . When this album was released in the UK in January it debuted at #1 – do what you want with that info, but you should definitely check out first single Wasted Little DJs.

Manic Street Preachers – Send Away The Tigers. It’s no secret that I’m a Manics obsessive – and so I’m a bit of a purist when it comes to them. I haven’t listened to the album at all, with the exception of the first single featuring Nina Persson of The Cardigans. Preview the album here.

Keren Ann – Keren Ann. You may not have known this, but Keren Ann had three albums before this one – the most popular in North America, Nolita, was named after the neighbourhood she lives in, in Manhattan. Listen to new music here.

Groove Armada – Soundboy Rock. I heard leadoff single Get Down a few weeks ago and have been listening to it A LOT. It’s fantastic! Preview the album here.

Travis – The Boy With No Name. This one’s been anticipated for a while and the reviews are very mixed. Produced by Nigel Goderich and first single is Closer. Watch the video for it here.

Mike Jones – The American Dream. Who IS Mike Jones? Remember his previous album? Pretty much every track on it contained the lyric “Who is Mike Jones” or just repeated “Mike Jones” over and over. Hopefully this effort’s a little more ‘creative’, hmm?
