The Prodigy debuted a new single called Invaders Must Die late last week, and it’s from an upcoming album of the same name (their fifth!), being released on March 3, 2009. It’s the band’s first album in four years, and the first in over ten years to feature all three original Prodigy members (The Fat of the Land in 1997 was the last time this happened). Dave Grohl’s on it. Does It Offend You, Yeah?’s on it.

Don’t question the cultural relevance of The Prodigy - they’ve sold 16 million albums worldwide and they’ve got songs like Firestarter, Smack My Bitch Up and Breathe, which, ten years on, are still being featured in video games and movies - essentially, any time someone needs a good ass whuppin’, throwing a Prodigy song into the scene will get the point across nicely.
