New Release Tuesday

Here’s what’s interesting in new releases today!

Lily Allen – Alright, Still. I *cannot* believe this is JUST making its debut here in North America. This album has been jurassic in the UK for the past year. My favourite tracks: LDN, Everything’s Just Wonderful, Friday Night. It’s just such a terrific album. Acquire it!

Paolo Nutini – These Streets. I don’t know that much about this guy, but MuchAdrenaline producer Billy Hussey likes it. So if Billy likes it, then you too must like it. Also, he’s 19 and Scottish. And if it’s not Scottish, it’s crap.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah – Some Loud Thunder. Sophomore album from Pitchfork favourites CYHSY. Teaser tracks have been streaming on the band’s MySpace page for a few months now if you want a preview! I saw these guys when they came through Toronto last and they didn’t disappoint!

Katharine McPhee – Katharine McPhee. Debut album from last season’s American Idol runnerup. I voted for her (did YOU?), and it wasn’t just because she has a solid name (ha!). If the record sales for Idol finalist Chris Daughtry’s album “Daughtry” are any indication of how much people LOVE Idol, this album is going to be HUGE.
