When Third Eye Blind’s self-titled debut album came out in 1997, I dug their catchy, melody-driven hooks and lead singer Stephan Jenkins‘ lazy California drawl. Even now, over 10 years later, when songs like “Semi-Charmed Life,” “Jumper,” and “How’s It Going To Be” somehow make it onto the radio or my iPod, I can’t help but want to singalong.
It seems the boys are back. According to the band’s MySpace blog, they will be releasing a digital EP called Red Star later this month - and to give us an idea of what they’ve been working on, they are streaming the final version of their latest song “NonDairy Creamer” on MySpace.
I’m happy to report that after 10 years, not much has changed - they are still sticking to their singalong ear candy ways.
