New Video: Beck – Youthless

Beck‘s video for the most excellent Youthless, my favourite song off 2008′s (slightly underwhelming) Modern Guilt popped up in my subscriptions feed today and it’s great.

It’s directed by Australian director Kris Moyes, who also did Sia’s Buttons video (see the similarities) and a bunch for The Presets (for his brother Kim), Cut Copy and Hercules & Love Affair.

The video’s an homage to various Beck personae on the little podium soapbox – including futuristic Beck (“Beck To The Future”), “Beckhoven”, “Becktallica”, cowboy Beck, and organic/earthy Beck, all accompanied by be-gloved handclaps to go along with the beat. A simple & lovely video to accompany an already wonderful song!
