News for Thursday: Jiggery Pokery Edition

July 2nd, 2009

* In Michael Jackson news, more proof that artists can be equally famous after they’re dead: there are supposedly “dozens and dozens” of unreleased MJ songs - including some collabs with will.i.am and Akon - locked up in his music vaults. Great news for fans, bad news for those who hate “Best Of…” compilations and Christmas CD’s.

* Aerosmith’s Joe Perry wants Twitter to help name his upcoming solo album. Uh, this is probably a bad idea, unless he wants an album called “OMG on mi way to teh club 4 partay timezzzz!!!!”

* TwiHard much? Summer School in Forks: a Twilight Symposium happened last weekend in Forks, Washington. Attendees had the chance to go to a prom at Forks High School, just like Edward and Bella. Not sure if this is a <3 or more like a o.O...

* Didja ever think Dave Grohl of Foo Fighters and Nirvana fame, Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, and none other than Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones would EVER release an album together? Hold onto your iPods, kids, it’s coming…

* And in completely confusing news: Speidi are crazy conspiracy theorists.
