And the story of how Jessica Simpson went from a bible thumping popstar to a full out Hollywood ho continues. So it’s 2001 and after a disappointing debut release, the label encourages Jess to shed a few pounds and show some skin for her sophmore release Irresistible. Yes, it was only three years ago when Jess proudly refused to succumb to the pressures of Hollywood but attitudes change when your career is hanging by a thread… Suddenly, the young popstar was eager to shed her good girl persona for something a little more sultry, a little more sexy, a little more packaged…

Sex sells and hey, Jessica Simpson reaped the benefits of it. Irresistible easily became one of her biggest hits as it debuted at #15 on the Billboard 100.. Why stop now when the formula is clearly working? So Jessica and Co. were ready to conquer the entertainment industry and prove to the world that she’s ready to play dumb and hot. Like, it’s okay to flaunt your assets around when you’re married - yeah, unfortunately dumb and
dumber sealed the deal in 2003 and instantaneously became pop culture icons with their reality show Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica - this marked the day when hell officially froze over…

Moving on. So with her newfound superstardom, Jess was ready to get in touch with her sexuality.. Oh but of course. Suddenly the sweet roller coaster lovin’ girl is having a bedroom romp with her husband Nick Lachey in on of her videos. How the smell of success changes one’s morals so quickly. Did we mention it was at this point that Jess’ father, a former minister, proudly tells the world that his daughter has Double Ds and that she should flaunt it? This is a clearly a functional family.

At this point Jess is riding high off of her reality show fame and is ready to do anything and everything to get her name out there. It’s hard to believe but she managed to snag a role in the film Dukes of Hazzard playing the titillating Daisy Duke. Fortunately, not much talent was required … I believe the only requirement was for the blonde popstar to work out her glutes so that she’ll fill out her Daisy Duke shorts.. And so she did. The moment that Jess officially became a Hollywood ho was when she made These Boots Are Made For Walkin. The ridiculous car washing scene where she was outfitted in only a pink string bikini was clearly included so that she could flaunt her new body.. Classy.. So that my friends is how Jessica Simpson went from nice to naughty.
