Prince wanted to party like it’s 1999, but little did he know that he’d be doing it amongst a sea of blonde popstars. Yes, in 1999 Britney Spears was burning up the charts (hard to believe, I know) with her sexy school girl look and Christina was wowing everyone with her wicked vocal chops and her barely there midriff shirts. But where did Ms. Simpson fit? Well, in case you guys forgot, before the the popstar hiked up her shorts and showed off her double Ds (that her father so proudly shared with everyone.. gross), Jessica Simpson was a wholesome Christian girl who just wanted to love us forever… Mmmhmm…

While the other popstars were parading around in skin tight getups, Jessica was preaching to the world about how she doesn’t need to sell her body to sell records. Oh right, and did we mention that she was playing up the whole ‘I’m a minister’s daughter’ deal..Poor Nick Lachey had to endure this whole charade as Jess continued to play up this whole sweet Christian girl act in their relationship. Unless Nick was going to marry the pouty lipped singer he wasn’t going to get any action…Maybe that’s the reason why he ditched her for a month to ‘figure things out.’ But much to our dismay, the annoyingly boring Nick and Jessica got back together… And yes Jess was still a virgin.. In fact, Jess’ chastity was the only thing keeping her career afloat. Her virginity was publicized more than her first record Sweet Kisses. Perhaps, that’s the reason why the buxom blonde had no problems dropping her morals for a little bit of time in the spotlight.
