Nice To Naughty: Lily Allen (Pt 1)

When you try to pinpoint a time when Lily Allen was legitimately a “nice girl”, frankly, you’re pulling strings. The singer has never tried to pass herself off as innocent, and with lyrics on her debut album like “at first when I see you cry, it makes me smile” and “I’m gonna tell the world you’re rubbish in bed”, it’s obvious that she had plenty of cheek from the get-go. But when a new personality comes into our lives as a budding future celeb, we make up our own minds about their nature. Lily’s cute face, adorable wardrobe and girlish voice gave the air of a toddler with a new portfolio of filthy words at their disposal – they know what they’re doing is wrong, but a big smile relieves them of all charges.

As Lily’s fame grew, so did her reputation as a firecracker – but for one sweet moment, she was a harmless saucy munchkin…
