In a very surprising move, Nicki Minaj has deleted her Twitter and has got her eleven million followers wondering why. On Sunday, April 15, Minaj tweeted out that she was deleting her account stating, “Like seriously, its but so much a person can take. Good f*cking bye.” This comment was made after a slew of negative messaging between Minaj and fans who run and support NickiDaily.com. NickiDaily.com leaked tracks of Minaj’s next album to the dismay of the rapper. Before deleting her account, Minaj wrote, “On 2nd thought I’ll just follow a new set of Barbz. The ones I follow r very mean and ratchet. *side eyes them* *looks into the sea 4 more*.” This news comes days after her successful release of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.

Nicki is not the first big name to drop Twitter. Miley Cyrus stopped using the social networking site two years ago when the media attention on her account got to be too much for the starlet. Clearly things haven’t changed as Miley has recently started using Twitter again and has even instigated more controversy with her tweets. At least we got a rap from Miley when she quit Twitter.
