Nicki Minaj has now made it clear that she plans on taking Jay-Z’s spot on the rap throne.
In an interview with Allure magazine, the female Young Money emcee said that she even told the Hip/Hop legend in person. “I had a little conversation with Jay-Z at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show,” she said. “He said, ‘Congratulations on all your success.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, I’m coming for you. I’m coming for your spot, Mr. Mogul.’”
Minaj has been attaching herself to a variety of business ventures, including deals with M.A.C. Cosmetics and OPI. The rapper also performed at this year’s Super Bowl halftime show with Madonna, and by herself at the Grammy Awards. Her upcoming sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded is due to be released April 3.Tweet
