Nicole Richie was in a car accident with some paparazzi on Monday.

Less than a month after giving birth to her second child, the star was rear-ended by a vehicle containing two photographers trying to get a snap of her.

According to a police officer, Nicole complained of pain but was not checked out by paramedics at the scene.

The photographer behind the wheel was charged with a misdemeanor traffic violation.

Neither of Richie’s two children were in the car with her at the time.
