For all my fellow TVD fans hoping that The Vampire Diaries will go the way of Sex And The City and South Park, actress Nina Dobrev has confirmed that the TV series will not be getting the big screen treatment. While doing an interview with NextMovie to promote her role in the film adaptation of Stephen Chbosky’s The Perks of Being A Wallflower, Nina was asked whether she saw The Vampire Diaries being turned into a film.
Said Dobrev, “I always feel like you have to end on a good note and you have to tell the story as long as there is a story to tell. I feel like they (the writers) have it all mapped out for as long as we’re going to do it, which is six years. If it goes any longer than that we’ll start losing quality.”
Okay, okay, that’s a good enough reason. But I still wouldn’t say no to watching Ian Somerhalder projected on a twenty foot screen in a movie theatre.
Season 4 of The Vampire Diaries premieres on Friday, October 12th at 8 pm ET on MUCH.
