Nina Dobrev talks Elena’s new life in The Vampire Diaries

When Season 4 of The Vampire Diaries premieres this Friday at 8 pm ET on MUCH, fans will be eager to see how Elena reacts to finding out that she has come back to life as a vampire. Actress Nina Dobrev, who plays both Elena and Katherine on TVD, recaps Elena’s story and tells fans that Season 4 will show a new phase of Elena’s life.
“I think that Elena becoming a vampire is a coming of age story in a way,” explained Dobrev. “It’s her transition into adulthood and she’s gone through so much. She’s been forced to grow up and be an adult for a long time.”
The Vampire Diaries returns with brand new episodes of Season 4 this Friday at 8 pm ET, followed by a brand new episode of Degrassi at 9 pm ET. Click here to check out pictures from Friday’s episode of The Vampire Diaries.
