The good news was that I got a last-chance opportunity to shoot the NKOTB concert on Friday! The bad news is that we had to take pics from more than halfway back from the stage and I didn’t have a proper lens.
Oh, well, you can still get a general idea of how things (read: the guys) looked.
I saw three songs before we were booted from the pit: the opener “Single”, “My Favorite Girl” and “The Right Stuff”. A flashback video montage opened the show before a giant NKOTB logo appeared on the screen and the guys rose from the ashes to appear in fox-force-five formation on stage. And you know? They sounded pretty good. I’ve read that they’re supposed to be singing 100% live for this tour and if that’s true, definite improvements have been made since the MMVAs. Vocal exercises, holler!!
If I had the tix, I totally would have stayed to watch the rest. Word on the street is that a few of them had a chance to do their solo thing (Jordan’s “Give It To You!” Joey’s dancing!), and that they didn’t sing “Funky, Funky Christmas”. Dangit! I would have paid the price of a ticket just to hear that.
Did you go to the show? What other songs did they perform?

I was never a Joey Joe gal … until now. Maybe cause the other guys are all 50. I kid! Donnie, I still <3 you.

This pic is mega-cropped… can you tell??? (end sarcasm)

YES.. they *did* do the Right Stuff dance.
