No Doubt will never Settle Down in new video

July 17th, 2012

The first time I heard No Doubt was because my older brother bought Tragic Kingdom and he played it for me. For some reason, something about Gwen Stefani proudly telling the world that she’s Just A Girl clicked with me as an eight year old and I was hooked for life. Don’t Speak, Hella Good, Sunday Morning all were hits on Billboard but also hits in my heart. I don’t think No Doubt fans have a name like One Direction’s Directioners do (“Doubters” would not work at all) but I’ve always carried a torch for Gwen, Tony, Adrian, and Tom. When No Doubt went on hiatus in 2004 I thought I had lost my chance forever to see them live. Luckily, when you’re a band as iconic and prolific as No Doubt, you tend to need and want to come back and I saw them live in 2009 in Vancouver. I waited for several hours to meet the band behind the concert venue and got them to sign my shirt, and I told Gwen that I’ve been looking up to her since I was in the third grade.

And now No Doubt is back in full force with Settle Down and I feel like the magic hasn’t ever gone away and my love for the band has only gotten stronger. In the video Gwen and the guys are truck drivers and convene in what looks like a celebration meant for them and their music. I’m going to share with you another secret: this video made my eyes well up. I’m so happy and excited for No Doubt and will run to the record store to grab myself the new album, Push And Shove which can’t get here any sooner. Watch the video below and tell us what you think in the comments section. Did you like it? Did you love it? You know I did.
