James McAvoy is confirmed to be the lead in X-Men: First Class. The next mutant movie is indeed moving forward, and McAvoy is set to play Charles Xavier – the leader of the X-Men.
The movie will follow the lives of mutants Xavier and Magneto as they become friends, and then what drives them to become arch enemies as Xavier forms his school for mutants, and Magneto gathers his brotherhood for a war against humans.
No word yet on who will play Magneto, or which mutants will appear in the movie.
