Oh yes.

Not only are the Gallagher brothers headlining Day 2 of Toronto’s VFest (September 6/7), but they’re embarking on a full blown North American tour (with Ryan Adams opening!) later this summer.

Oasis haven’t put out an album since 2005’s brilliant Don’t Believe The Truth, but get this: a new album is expected to drop in September 2008, so WHEN you see them live this summer and at VFest, they’ll be playing BRAND NEW SONGS (that’s brand new Oasis songs…not Brand New songs).

MuchMoreMusic’s presenting the tour, and so far (hint, hint) the following dates have been announced:

August 27 - GM Place, Vancouver
August 29 - Rexall Place, Edmonton
August 30 - Pengrowth Saddledome, Calgary
September 1 - MTS Centre, Winnipeg
September 4 - Scotiabank Place, Ottawa

The presale for Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary is over, but now you can buy tickets for Winnipeg and Ottawa before they go on sale to the general public The password to buy tickets to all shows is wonderwall.
